She is not a doctor and doesn’t really know what she is talking about. If you go to a dermatologist you can get real treatments that will make a significant difference. Be careful about following internet ‘gurus’ as most are unqualified to be offering medical advice.

@ANGIEfromAtoZ did you try the bio oil? if so did you see any results?

  8. DaughterOfYashua says:

@anjelle17 Bio oil is FABULOUS! I put on so much weight with my baby, went from a UK size 12 to 18 and I used bio-oil religiously three times a day everyday from the first day I found out I was pregnant. I have no stretchmarks. :-) People say it is a genetic thing, but that is a lie. My Mum has lots of stretch marks, I have none- there is something you can do to prevent it ladies. I have also heard good things about Bio oil removing existing stretchmarks.

go back to your natural look, no radical weave, no radical makeup. your natural look is GORGEOUS. and I can’t say this enough? 4 kids? no way. you look wonderful. :)

I’m getting a tummy tuck to get rid of my stretch marks but mine are a lot worse than yours :( Nothing I have tried has worked (creams, peels, even laser treatments) so I’m resorting to surgery. I’m not looking forward to the recovery time. I also have them on my legs all the way down to my knees but there’s nothing the docs can do about those …. so I just cover them with makeup :( Let me know if you have found something that works. I am desperate!

@0504Sheena about a month or two, at first it fades quickly then it slows down as the formula penetrates deeper into the skin, (stretch marks (in fact all scars) start under the skin thats why they are hard to get rid of) the outer scar tissue fades quicker than inner scar tissue.

@catalina315 apricot scrub (massage in while bathing), then apply lemon juice (fresh from the lemon, massage in) to bleach the stretch marks and apply cocoa butter (again massage in), pregnancy strecth marks are more agressive so i will take longer so you will have to bear with it sorry, cocoa butter is the best, my mum and my aunties used it during pregnancy and didnt get any stretch marks. And massaging is needed so more blood can flow and repair dead tissue.

@msrecendiz Since stretch marks aren’t a phenomenon of the epidermis (the outmost layer of the skin) but of the dermis, which is a layer of fascia *under* the epidermis. So working on the epidermis will do nothing for you.
Stretch marks could be removed surgically, but I seriously doubt that any surgeon would be willing to try that.

i’ve researched a product called emu oil….and i’ve heard that is really good for stretch marks..

  22. 0504Sheena says:

@dOntWacthdisKiD How long did it take to start fading away?

  23. dOntWacthdisKiD says:

@ghostfnfa apricot and cocoa butter, you will see obvious results in about a month or two and continue, i have been doing it for 4 months and the main stretch marks have faded to the point where you have to look closely to notice, now iam focusing on the area i neglected to treat (upper arm near armpits) and those marks are slowly fading, but with lemon juice (fresh from the lemon) i can bleach the marks and even out the skin tone vastly accelerating the process, i use lemon for alot of marks.
